Central placement, underground parking, good restaurant facilities. Windows that could be opened as well as air conditioning if needed.

The lack of oxygen in the corridors and public areas

We loved Canberra in spite of this hotel which we also found fair to middling. Helen

There were two beds in the room. We used one bed that was not even a double so basically it was a twin. There was one good chair at the desk but when we ordered a meal to have in our room, where could the other person sit. There was room at the desk to place another chair of a similar design. The shower was over the bath. This is not good for mature people as my husband found it difficult to step in and out of the bath. I considered the hotel 3 star and no more value than that. I think it was over priced. Breakfast $15 each, Car parking $12 per night. Why were not these two expenses included in the fee. We did not see a porter. The girl who booked us in told me that breakfast was also $12 but she made a mistake. The cost did not bother us but I definately prefer to stay at the Kurrajong which is an old Hotel in a similar position but has a History and does not pretend to be something it is not.

Soulless, corporate, room was poorly lit, expensive water and internet.

Was handy to where I wanted to go. Was close to bus services.

Air flow in room was not sure whether it was working. Too hot at night

Our room provided a secure place to sleep.

The food service. Silver service ? Did not have the right cutlery when ordered steak(dinner). Took waitress 5 minutes after serving meal to come back with two different steak knives Room service provided a dodgey poor eggs benadict that was like eggs and hard custard, limp lettuce not Spinach leaves as described. Breakfast had one set of cutlery again (2 People)and a spoon that was bent in 4 places. Coffee to the room was in take away cups. The food was at expensive prices and a pub does better. Complained to front desk on departure and have heard nothing... Very dissapointed

I liked the actual look of the hotel the physical atmosphere was nice..

I unuderstand that floriade was on so a big event does attract people so as the price was a bit ridiculous I didnt appreciate how poorly the room was presented to us. I was with my best mate and we have staed at hotels quite a lot and with that kind of price that rydges charged I would of thought the room would be in much better condition. The brown cabnet that housed the fridge was not stable and basically broken, the handle near the sink was broken. Its not a good look to walk into somewhere that is not up to standards the guy at the end of our stay was cocky and rude just because my card declined the first time I had to pay some cash as I had to do a transfer but instaed of making him wait I just paid some cash off the bill and he seemed angry and rude. I dont accept that in that high level of service that I know rydges offer. I cant however remember his name, it was sunday the 30/9 at 11am check out.. So im not sure of the name but he had brown hair. The bar staff was lovely.. The girl at the desk that mostly served us with the blue streak in her hair was lovely but im sorry to say the food was horrible ! 60 dollars for an incorret order ... i politely said thankyou.. but asked for a steak with vegitables and was given a pasta? I specifically had said seperate steak on the side with vegetables.. but was no delivered. MY friends meal was too burnt .. the salmon did not seem fresh. the mashed potato was definietly not fresh it was processed flakes i dont ever complain about things but i was so dissapointed with things even my mother came up to the hotel room to see it and had picked a few things out too so i felt it necessary to speak up as it was just not me that noticed.

the bed and room service was good.

due to internet booking the general accommodation was not up to standard for the price and 4 star rating.

    Fabulous

The Breakfast although looked very nice and fresh, all the hot food was ice cold, the coffee needed some improvement. The Dinner menu needed to be upgraded to something that is more friendly to the average person, and maybe cut out the fancy talk, as not only I, but quite a few people that I spoke to about it did not understand it either. I am a chef and from experience, the average person just wants to have a good meal and understand what he is getting.

    Superb

The wifi was excellent - a major improvement to Internet services since I stayed there in 2008 on a business trip. Great location and very quiet. Easy walking to Manuka village shops & restaurants.

Some of the decor is shabby, like the battered and ancient paint work on the inside of my bathroom door. There was shampoo and conditioner but no moisturiser - an essential in Canberra;s cold, dry winter. Breakfast was included in my tariiff but when I asked for expresso I was told that would be $4, so I declined.

Service levels in the restaurant are terrible. Not the problem of the staff themselves - just far too few of them! The hotel obviously being run on a ridiculously tight staffing budget which is reflected in the service levels.

The location was very central to ammenities and attractions The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was well equiped, quiet, and complete with a Dream Bed Room Service was reasonably priced, of high quality and very quickly delivered. House Keeping was very prompt to attend to requests The pool and spa area were very relaxing

the room key (swipe card) is very easy to wipe by placing in a wallet/purse, shirt pocket or too close to a mobile phone. I was repeatedly locked out of the room due to the swipe key malfunctioning due to one of these. On the plus side, the reception staff were very prompt to reset my card (once I had confirmed who I was of course)

    Superb

Convenience close to doctors appointment. Easy access off main thoroughfare. provision of parking although

not happy i had to pay for parking. This made the room the same price as other motels nearby. False advertising

We needed a central place to stay in canberra with good amenities as we had a family member in Canberra Hospital. The staff were friendly helpful and efficient. Room service was quick and tasty. Breakfast was wonderful value. We intend to stay again-thanks!

    Good

Location was good near manuka, and the breakfast was wonderful - the best part

We had a second bed made up but the sofabed was broken and halfway through the night I had to move into my friends bed No windows made the room so stuffy with the aircon too warm (or too cold when turned off) There were creaking noises all night- sounded like pipes expanding Even though we got a deal, it was still $150 a night and we were left feeling feeling disappointed
